My Story

How It All Began

Behind every creative idea stands a person. And here I am — Sigita.

My sewing journey began more than 30 years ago — I’ve been sewing for as long as I can remember. It all started with my grandmother’s hand-sewing machine. When I was finally tall enough to reach the foot pedal, I moved on to a treadle machine. Sewing has always been a part of me — I made clothes for dolls, for myself, and for the girls in my neighborhood. From early childhood, sewing wasn’t just a skill, it was a passion.

In 2009, my eldest son was born, and Latvia was going through an employment crisis. After maternity leave, I had no job to return to. My husband had long encouraged me to start sewing for others, and at that moment, I realized it was the perfect time. I used to think that a hobby couldn’t become a profession, especially without formal education — but I proved myself wrong. Turning my passion into my profession has been one of the best decisions of my life — I get to do what I love while bringing joy to others.

Over the years, I have created not only hats but also wedding dresses, coats, suits, and even upholstery projects. While working on custom orders, I began to feel the need to express my own ideas. This feeling grew stronger when my second son was born — that’s when the idea of the perfect children’s hat was born. A hat that is warm, comfortable, and beautiful. My little boy grew up wearing my handmade hats, and they became a natural part of our everyday life. Soon after, these designs became beloved favorites among my customers, friends, and family.

Sustainability is close to my heart. To avoid overproduction, most of my items are made to order, allowing me to focus on quality, craftsmanship, and waste reduction.

A heartfelt thank you to all my loyal customers who inspire, support, and appreciate the care I put into every piece. I strive to use only the finest materials and precise craftsmanship so that each item brings happiness and warmth to its wearer.
